Chaperone BlueRock Ventures Detroit, MI Job Details Temporary | Contract $167 a day 7 hours ago Qualifications School experience Student supervision Working with students Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Chaperone to support our college tour and recreational programs by ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of high school students during outings, field trips, and activities. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in supervising groups, managing behavior, and fostering a fun and secure environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with learners while contributing to their growth and enjoyment. Responsibilities Supervise students during outings, field trips, or program activities to ensure safety at all times Maintain a vigilant watch over participants, managing behavior and resolving conflicts promptly using effective conflict management skills Assist with transportation logistics, including boarding and disembarking from buses or other vehicles in a safe manner Support program staff by implementing activity plans and engaging children in educational or recreational tasks Communicate clearly with children, parents, teachers, and other staff to provide updates or address concerns transparently Enforce rules and behavioral expectations consistently to promote a positive environment for all participants Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies or incidents using first aid skills when necessary Experience Prior experience working with children or students in educational, childcare, or recreational settings is preferred Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies is highly desirable Classroom experience or teaching background will be considered an asset Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally in dynamic environments Join us in creating memorable experiences for young learners while ensuring their safety and happiness!
