Full-Time | Hourly Accepting applications through March 27, 2026. Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit serving families and children across Michigan. We are currently seeking a Transitional Housing Team Leader to join our Mercy House program in Flint. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Genesee County. Responsibilities Maintains waiting lists and complete initial screenings of applicants. Administers assessments and independence inventories and complete individualized plans and quarterly progress reports for all residents. Assists residents with improving basic needs by teaching skills, providing resources, and collaborating with other providers related to the areas of Education, Employment, Transportation, Mental Health and Substance Abuse, and Medical Care. Assists residents with housing stability in Eviction Prevention by facilitating Financial/Money Management workshops, Socialization/Recreation activities, and Conflict Resolution (including facilitating a resident advisory council). Prepares residents for discharge and provides support for a successful move into new housing. Maintains weekly contact with residents related to assisting in goal completion. Is available to respond to resident emergencies and assist residents in developing safety plans. Provides ongoing supervision, training and support to Housing Specialist around their prescribed duties, in consultation with Program Manager. Recommend disciplinary action as appropriate. Coordinates daily schedule/meal time and ensures house rules are adhered to. Ensures house is stocked with necessary food and supplies to meet tenants' needs. Collaborates with Program Manager to ensure program is meeting budget expectations. Organizes volunteers and schedules shifts ensuring all shifts are filled. Involvement in promotional activities that include fundraising events, development of marketing materials, and community outreach. Attends Flint/Genesee County Continuum of Care meetings. Collaborates with Franklin Avenue Mission partners and attends meetings as needed to ensure services for residents are coordinated and building maintenance needs are met. Responsible for work schedules; payroll submission; and ensuring shifts are covered. Qualifications High School Diploma/ GED, required . Experience working with children and families experiencing homelessness, including coordination of care and utilization of county-based resources. Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach to supporting families. Strong conflict management and escalation skills.Schedule and Compensation Employment Type:
