Casco Products Corporation, a global Tier One electronics and electromechanical supplier to the automotive industry, is looking for a Program Manager to join our team in Novi, Michigan. With over 100 years of experience in sensor and module development, Casco offers a wide range of in-vehicle electronics for an enhanced driving experience. The Program Manager is responsible for managing, with minimal direction, projects and project team activities through development and launch of new products and continuous engineering. This position will manage electronic and electromechanical design projects developed from our North America Sales and Engineering office. The main job responsibilities include leading multi-functional business program teams adhering to the Casco APQP process to meet program timing, cost and quality.Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the customer interface from development through launch and continuous engineering phase of the programs. Coordinate functional activities and ensure matrix resource efficiencies to achieve program objectives. Matrix functions include sales, engineering, quality, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics and finance. Manage and track all project aspects of assigned programs, particularly changes, cost and timing, and drive countermeasures as needed to keep timing and budget. Conduct flawless launch of programs - meet key delivery of milestones both internal and external on time, financial performance, technical performance and product quality. Lead weekly project meetings with internal team and customer. Meet or exceed stakeholders' expectations. Responsible for driving communication amongst the teams both internally and externally. Hold team members accountable for meeting target dates. Report project status to management on a weekly basis and escalate issues as needed. Follow and enforce Casco Gate Review process and drive APQP to meet all requirements. Coordinate project launches from administrative aspect. Track customer tooling orders and invoices.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required (BA/BS Engineering degree is preferred). At least 5 years of program management experience required; at least 8-10 years of automotive industry experience is strongly preferred. English proficiency required. Competency in product design fundamentals, automotive APQP processes, PPAP processes, manufacturing knowledge and financial management basics (tooling capex, etc.) is a plus.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional communication skills - verbal and written. Excellent organizational skills - able to manage multiple tasks, follow up to closure. Proactive thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate with global/cross-cultural teams. Strong team leader fostering teamwork, cooperation and relationship building while developing others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Microsoft Project required. Knowledge of APQP Process and automotive OEM development requirements. Working knowledge of automotive electronics, sensors or electromechanical parts preferred. Knowledge of Ford WERS/VPP/Schedule A requirements is a plus. ASPICE knowledge/experience is a plus.Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, employees regularly work in an office setting and virtual. Occasional travel to customer facility may be required (domestic).Safety:
