Job Description

About the Church of Saint Paul The Church of Saint Paul is a dynamic Catholic community of 1400+ families empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the Body of Christ alive in the world today. Located in Ham Lake, MN, the parish follows a five-step discipleship pathway to maintain the strength of our community and help individuals become intentional disciples of Jesus Christ through acts of prayer, service, connection, giving, and invitation. Position Summary The Discipleship and Engagement Coordinator is a relational and strategic leader who helps parishioners take meaningful next steps in their faith through the parish's discipleship pathway. This role helps existing parishioners grow in faith, build community, and engage in parish life. Evening and weekend hours required (e.g. key parish events, engagement opportunities, and seasonal programming). Primary Responsibilities Recruit, organize, and train lay leaders to lead and sustain ministries that support the parish discipleship pathway. Create and manage a new member welcome and engagement process. Ensure a personal and interactive experience that connects individuals and families to parish life. Develop and support adult discipleship opportunities to foster spiritual life and growth of parishioners (e.g. small groups, Bible studies, men's and women's ministry, marriage enrichment). Provide guidance and support to prayer and pastoral care ministries (e.g. spiritual direction, prayer line, Eucharistic adoration, outreach ministries). Be present frequently at weekend Masses (at least two times per month) and parish events to build relationships and create opportunities for connection and engagement.
