Job Description:
A smart buildings and energy efficiency client is looking to hire a Controls Program Manager in Plymouth, Minnesota. This person will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the Smart Building Controls business unit in order to help successfully deliver multi-year, multi-site programs. This role oversees end-to-end operations process, ensuring that resources, schedules, and deliverables are aligned to support project execution. A successful Controls Program Manager will serve as the primary operational counterpart to enterprise customer stakeholders, focus on internal coordination, reporting, and process management to enable project managers, engineers, buyers, and commissioners to deliver efficiently and on time. This person will report to the General Manager and will act as a program/operations manager focused on delivering large-scale energy/controls projects for clients. Essential Job Functions Manage the end-to-end operations process for programs in enterprise systems such as Salesforce and Oracle. Serve as the primary point of accountability, especially for customers and internal stakeholders, for capital programs. Develop and maintain operational reports for program tracking, resource utilization, and milestone achievement. Ensure that departments are timely completing project level tasks. Identify opportunities to allocate resources and align install schedules with available capacity and priorities. Partner with project managers to support escalations and ensure issues are addressed internally. Forecast workload and resource needs to support project prioritization and pipeline planning. Ensure program and parent project milestones are properly scheduled, tracked, and executed. Define, implement, and monitor KPIs for program planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency. Track deliverables across teams, including: Commissioning reports from commissioning staff. Design reports from design engineers. Shipping and fulfillment progress. Coordinate with service and operations teams on escalations and scheduling. Support project managers with billing milestone tracking for accurate reporting to finance. Drive consistency and accountability across teams by standardizing processes, reporting, and workflows. Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in related field. Proficiency with project operations tools such as Salesforce, Oracle, or similar enterprise platforms. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to build and use reports/KPIs for decision-making. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination. Proven experience managing multiple priorities and driving accountability across internal teams. Travel up to 10% as needed. Salary of $100,000 - $140,000 + bonus and full benefits
