INTERPERSONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain relationships with parents, volunteers, community leaders, members, participants, and peers. Respond quickly to all inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Perform and provide excellent customer service skills by exceeding expectations. Answer phones, direct calls, and provide accurate information about the programs. Always have a friendly helpful attitude and wear a smile. Work as a valued team member of the management team. Handle accidents and emergencies in a comfortable and confident manner in accordance with the policies and procedures. Assist in planning and implementation of special functions & projects. Serve as a resource person to the YMCA Membership/Program Committee and the Branch Board of Directors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, direct, and coordinate all the programs assigned (youth and adult sports and health and wellness programs). Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations. Manage day-to-day operations in assigned programs in accordance with the strategic plan. Develop a high functioning staff team. This is accomplished through recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and leading staff. Review and evaluate staff performance. Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. Research, facilitate, and build quality programs that provide excellent member satisfaction. Establish new program activities and expand programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Develop, manage, and control budgets related to the position. Ensure programs operate within budget. Ensure that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures are followed. Maintain proper records and department files. Organize special events and assist in YMCA fundraising activities. Assist in marketing and distribution of program information. This includes, but not limited to, newsletters, emails, mobile notifications, open house events, and vendor fairs. Compile program statistics. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of program participation. Responsible for keeping an equipment inventory and for the storage of programming equipment. Follow all personnel, program, and state policies. Work in conjunction with the membership staff providing the highest quality member onboarding experience possible. Develop specific programs for the onboarding of new and existing members and specific programs to enhance member retention. Provide leadership, be knowledgeable, and supportive of the YMCA Annual Campaign. Perform any other duties as assigned by
