Job Description:
The Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC) represents over 25 community behavioral health safety net providers statewide and advances innovative, integrated solutions through five organizational pillars: expert, change agent, educator, advocate, and facilitator. This position leads cross-system collaboration to strengthen and integrate systems for Missourians with behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities (BHIDD). In partnership with the Department of Mental Health, this role coordinates BHIDD initiatives that improve care coordination, health outcomes, housing opportunities, data integration, and wraparound supports. This role also manages projects for youth-focused initiatives that advance early intervention and cross-system coordination, while collaborating with partners to identify and address gaps in behavioral health services. This position is located at the Roy Blunt Center for Healthcare Integration and Innovation in Jefferson City. Job Duties Serve as the primary project manager for initiatives focused on serving individuals with co-occurring mental health and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Convene and coordinate meetings with partners to strengthen integrated workflows, identify barriers, and develop operational solutions to support the BHIDD population. Facilitate training and access to subject matter experts to support agencies serving the BHIDD population. Oversee youth-focused programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, stakeholder needs, and measurable outcomes. Serve as a liaison to the Missouri Children's Division and other youth-serving organizations to strengthen coordination, communication, and service alignment for children and families. Represent the youth provider perspective through active participation on workgroups, advisory groups, and steering committees that influence policy, program design, and system improvements, as well as strengthen early identification, service access, and cross-system collaboration. Collaborate with partners to identify and address gaps in behavioral health services for youth through coordinated, cross-system solutions. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in public health, social work, psychology, social services, or a related field. Experience working with or in programs supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health and/or IDD systems, including familiarity with child-serving systems such as Children's Division, education, and juvenile justice, preferred. Strong project management and facilitation skills (meetings, workgroups, cross-system planning) and ability to translate discussions into clear next steps and deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with customer service-level attention), including the ability to speak and present to large groups. Ability to learn, understand, and interpret outcomes and data, and create usable tools/resources for partners. Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, in a positive and professional manner.
