Job Description

Life Help is a regional community mental health center that has provided comprehensive, community-based mental health and substance abuse services for nearly fifty years. Monitor charts for efficacy of theoretical approaches being utilized by clinical staff. Obtain certified and maintain certification as a Trainer in DMH approved theoretical approaches. Oversee the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program to ensure appropriate delivery of empirically based theoretical model and to assess appropriate delivery of Intensive Outpatient Program Standards. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure appropriate services are being delivered to individuals with co-occurring diagnosis. Monitor mental health services and substance abuse services to ensure immediate and appropriate responses are give to individuals with co-occurring diagnosis and to ensure individuals with co-occurring diagnosis are properly identified at the onset of treatment. Assist clinical staff to link individuals with co-occurring diagnosis to resources, as needed. Treat individuals receiving services, family members, staff, volunteers, visitors, government agencies, and the general public with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times. Conduct yourself in a manner which leaves a favorable impression with the public. Adhere to all Department of Mental Health Standards, Division of Medicaid Standards, and maintain respect for all other Life Help policies, procedures, and management decisions. Respect and uphold the confidentiality of individuals receiving services, their family members, colleagues, and any sensitive situations arising within the agency. Refrain from malicious gossip at all times. Participate in all training required for your specific position and by the agency at large. Perform other specific duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/coordinator. Master's Degree in Mental Health Field LPC or CMHT Valid Mississippi Driver's License Must possess leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
