Director of Programs Reports To:
Chief Executive Officer Position Summary The Director of Programs serves as a senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, and continuous improvement of Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center's direct service programs, including Forensic Interviewing, Family Advocacy, and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Coordination. This position provides leadership and supervision to program staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, professional growth, and innovation. The Director partners with executive leadership to strengthen multidisciplinary partnerships, improve organizational systems, support staff development, and ensure exceptional services for children and families. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all direct service programs, ensuring services are trauma-informed, client-centered, and aligned with organizational priorities. Develop, implement, and evaluate program goals, performance measures, and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor service utilization, community needs, and program outcomes to guide planning and decision-making. Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and expanded community impact. Ensure consistency in program operations, policies, and service delivery across all program areas. • Exercise sound judgment in balancing operational needs, staff wellbeing, client service, and organizational priorities while making timely, informed decisions. Staff Leadership and Development Supervise, mentor, and develop program staff through coaching, performance management, and professional development. Lead recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and staff retention efforts. Champion Kids Hub's culture by modeling transparency, collaboration, trust, accountability, and continuous learning. Develop future leaders and subject matter experts within the organization. Lead organizational change by translating strategic priorities into operational action while guiding staff through change with clear communication, coaching, and consistency. Community and MDT Leadership Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Child Protective Services, law enforcement, prosecutors, medical providers, mental health professionals, schools, and other community partners. Serve as the agency's operational liaison for multidisciplinary team collaboration. Represent Kids Hub at MDT meetings, community partnerships, professional organizations, and public events. Strengthen referral networks and community partnerships that improve services for children and families. Program Quality and Compliance Ensure compliance with National Children's Alliance Standards, grant requirements, organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Lead quality assurance, accreditation preparation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes, and use data to strengthen service delivery. Maintain policies, procedures, and operational standards that support high-quality programs. Organizational Systems and Operations Design and continuously improve scalable systems, workflows, and processes that increase efficiency, remove barriers, and support long-term organizational growth. Anticipate future operational needs and proactively prepare the organization for growth. Continuously evaluate emerging trends, technology, and best practices to strengthen program delivery. Internship and Workforce Development Oversee the agency's internship program, including academic partnerships, placement, supervision, and evaluation. Support workforce development initiatives that strengthen the future child advocacy workforce. Organizational Leadership Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and contribute to strategic planning, organizational development, and agency-wide decision-making. Collaborate with the CEO and Director of Finance on budgeting, resource planning, grant implementation, and long-term program sustainability. Model the organization's mission, values, and commitment to trauma-informed leadership. Represent Kids Hub in community and professional settings as requested by the CEO. Qualifications Education • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Criminal Justice, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in child advocacy, child welfare, victim services, nonprofit management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience supervising professional staff and leading multidisciplinary teams. Experience managing complex programs, organizational initiatives, and community partnerships. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Demonstrated ability to build positive workplace culture while maintaining accountability. Strong strategic thinking, organizational, and systems improvement skills. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution abilities. Knowledge of child advocacy center operations, MDT collaboration, trauma-informed care, and child abuse response systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead organizational change. Pay:
$55,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
