PROGRAM SPECIALIST III
OFFICE
OF CHILD NUTRITION
NON-STATE;
TIME LIMITED
Salary Range:
$43,509.31 - $65,329.24 Salary will be negotiable and commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mississippi Department of Education is seeking to employ a Program Specialist III in the Office of Child Nutrition. This is a mid-level program management and support professional position accountable for analyzing and reviewing the processes and activities of multiple, federally funded Child Nutrition Programs, including the NSLP, SBP, ASCP, SSO, and SFSP. Specifically, the employee will provide technical assistance to and conduct audits of local operators of these federal programs. The employee is responsible for multiple projects, including application processing, evaluation, financial and management analysis, and operational auditing of large and complicated Child Nutrition programs. Employees at this level typically have specialized technical skills and exercise a higher degree of decision-making and independence. The employee is accountable for training and monitoring the work of Child Nutrition Staff at the school district level.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
