Youth Sports Program Lead Flathead Sports Collective Kalispell, MT Job Details Part-time $16 - $20 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Youth fitness Program design Sports coaching Moving Working with children Full Job Description Job Overview The Youth Sports Program Lead helps supervise and lead daily youth programming. This person is responsible for creating a safe, positive, structured, and fun environment for kids while supporting daily rotations, check-in/check-out, parent communication, and activity flow. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, can manage group energy well, and is dependable, calm, and confident in an active sports environment with kids. Role is part-time for the morning program session, 8am - 1pm Monday through Friday. Occasional special events may also be requested to support on weekends or evenings. Primary Responsibilities Lead daily sports and activity rotations Supervise kids ages 8-14 during structured activities, transitions, breaks, and pickup/drop-off Help create a positive and encouraging environment for kids of varying skill levels Support check-in and check-out procedures Communicate professionally with parents when needed Help set up, reset, and clean activity areas Monitor safety during indoor and outdoor activities Support basic behavior management using clear, respectful expectations Follow all Flathead Sports Collective safety, emergency, and supervision policies Help guide younger assistants or volunteers during program hours Assist with special events, open house activities, or promotional events as needed The ideal candidate is: Reliable and punctual. Confident supervising children in an active environment. Positive, steady, and able to redirect kids respectfully. Comfortable leading basic games, sports drills, or group activities. Safety-minded and attentive. Professional with parents and other staff. Flexible and willing to help where needed. Able to work independently while following program expectations. Required Qualifications Age 18 or older. Experience working with children, youth sports, camps, schools, coaching, childcare, recreation, or similar settings. Ability to pass a background check. Strong empathy and communication skills. Ability to stand, walk, move, and be active during program shifts. Ability to lift and move light sports equipment as needed. Dependable transportation to the facility. Preferred Qualifications Coaching experience or previous sports experience . CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain. Experience with volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball/baseball, football, general athletics, PE, youth camps, or recreation. Experience managing groups of children. Comfort with parent communication.

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
