Job Description

Job Summary:
RBHI is a Montana-based nonprofit that aims to reduce suicidality and improve mental health outcomes among youth in rural regions of the US. The Program Manager plays a central role in ensuring that RBHI's programs run smoothly and scale effectively. This position requires a strong logistical planner and systems thinker who can manage competing priorities, support staff across multiple programs, and keep initiatives on track toward measurable goals. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative, even-keeled presence to the team—someone who earns trust through reliability, clear communication, and genuine respect for colleagues, partners, and the families we serve.
Essential Job Functions:
Support RBHI program implementation efforts as needed across all stages of delivery. Help design, build, and manage scalable operational systems that support current and future RBHI programs. Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to develop program goals, define performance metrics, and advance strategic initiatives. Oversee systematic data collection, management, and reporting related to program outcomes. Monitor evolving regulations in the states where RBHI operates, ensuring that operational practices and policies remain current and compliant. Contribute to the development and implementation of new and existing programs. Serve as a liaison between leadership, program staff, and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment. Participate in regular RBHI team meetings and contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented team culture. Perform other duties as identified by the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, or Board of Directors.

Skilled communicator:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and a strong sense of when to speak, when to listen, and how to receive and respond to critical feedback from stakeholders with professionalism and grace.
Adaptive problem solver:
Able to think on your feet, solve problems adroitly, and adjust approaches in response to stakeholders' evolving needs and available resources.
Confident and resourceful:
Self-assured, innovative, and able to find creative solutions with limited resources.
Team-oriented and independent:
Effective working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
Resilient and positive:
Maintains energy, composure, and enthusiasm even in challenging or ambiguous situations.
Politically astute:
Able to assess, navigate, and respond thoughtfully to the political dynamics of a setting or situation.
Experience:
Substantial experience with logistical planning, project coordination, and operational system management. Extensive experience instructing, training, and facilitating diverse groups. Demonstrated ability to set, track, and report on program goals and performance metrics. Proficiency with data collection tools and reporting processes.
