Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate Mentoring Program Facilitator to lead our Black Girls Leadership Program in North Carolina. This hybrid role blends session facilitation and mentor program coordination , ensuring a safe, affirming, and empowering space for young Black girls to grow. You will guide mentees, support mentor relationships, and collaborate with families and community partners to maximize impact. This is a paid stipend position offering an exciting opportunity to create meaningful change while gaining experience in education, mentorship, and community leadership. Responsibilities Facilitate monthly mentoring sessions for girls (3 hours per session), guiding them through curriculum and experiential learning Plan and prepare session activities aligned with EHD's mission, values, and curriculum (2 hours per month) Build trusting, affirming relationships with mentees and support mentor-mentee connection. Develop creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities. Maintain records of attendance, progress, and program outcomes Promote a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment that honors girlhood Requirements Experience working with youth, particularly girls from historically excluded backgrounds, in educational or mentorship settings Strong understanding of youth development, social-emotional learning, or trauma-informed care Ability to foster authentic relationships and guide mentees with care and affirmation Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to EHD's values: radical care, othermothering, and healing-centered engagement Why Join EHD As a Mentoring Program Facilitator, you will help shape the lives of Black girls, equipping them with the confidence, voice, and community to thrive.
