Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Office of Interprofessional Health Initiatives (IHI) supports the intentional integration of interprofessional education, practice, and collaboration across UNC-CH. The mission of this unit is to support interprofessional endeavors that enhance the capacity and capability to improve health outcomes. Interprofessional Health Initiatives contains the Office of IPEP, Office of Health Professions Advising, and UNC Rural, all pan-university initiatives with many internal and external partners. Collaborating units include the Schools of Business, Dentistry, Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Social Work; the department Health Sciences; Biomedical Engineering, and the Health Sciences Library. Position Summary The Student Leadership Program Coordinator will focus primarily on supporting the Student Leadership Team within the Academic Excellence Unit and Division of Student Success. They will collaborate with the Associate Provost for Student Leadership, Director of Relational Leadership at Carolina, and others. This position will serve as the program coordinator for multiple pan-university initiatives, delivered through campus-wide co-curricular and curricular partnerships. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships internally within with faculty, staff, students and affiliated partner institutions; assessing and responding to key student and partner needs; contributing to the development, planning, and implementation of new initiatives; assessing reoccurring initiatives to determine value to participants; and demonstrating an ability to think critically and problem solve. Project Management Administers assigned educational programs/projects that support learning Relational Leadership Curriculum and the Strengths Initiative. Monitors program budgets, and play a direct role in forecasting, tracking, and monitoring expenditures to remain within funding parameters. Analyzes student engagement data, partner capacity, and logistical infrastructure to identify areas where additional resources or redesigns are necessary. Develops and monitors project databases, schedules, and reports, using data analytics to inform decisions. Program Administration Manages and supports office operations, communications, reporting, budgeting, meetings, retreats, and program administration. Marketing & Communications Plans, implements, and leads tailored marketing/communication strategies for assigned educational program(s)/project(s) in collaboration with the Academic Success Unit, Student Success Division, and with strategic partners. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
