Direct Care - Part Time Cottage Parent

As a member of the cottage care team, the Part-time Cottage Parent will be responsible for supporting Full-time Cottage Parents and the Cottage Manager in the safety, supervision, guidance and training of youth living in a cottage setting. In addition to providing supervision for youth and staff support in a home-like setting, you will need to be understanding, and offer guidance to youth during crisis as well as celebration. Flexibility and patience are a must as you help nurture the spiritual, emotional, education and physical well-being of youth. Providing agency transportation of youth to and from appointments, activities, work, etc. encompass part of the job duties. Training and support is provided by the Free Will Baptist Children's Home direct care team, but a teachable and coachable mindset is a requirement.

Individual Requirements:

• 21 years of age with a valid NC driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Pass drug screening and background test.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Work with youth from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Previous experience working with youth desired, but will consider the right candidate without previous experience in the field.
