Job Description:

The YMCA of the Prairie is an association consisting of three branches in three different communities: Don Sjogren Community YMCA in Holdrege, Orthman Community YMCA in Lexington, and YMCA at Gothenburg Health in Gothenburg. The YMCA at Gothenburg Health is a unique partnership focused on improving the health and well-being of the Gothenburg community and surrounding areas. The YMCA at Gothenburg Health is seeking a passionate, mission-driven Youth & Family Director to lead, develop, and oversee high-quality youth and family programming. This position supports the YMCA mission by building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all while modeling the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• One to two years of related experience preferred.
• Completion of YMCA-required certifications, including CPR and First Aid.
• Strong organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Living in Gothenburg is highly recommended.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Directs and supervises youth and family program activities to meet community needs.
• Establishes new program activities and expands existing programs.
• Oversees marketing efforts including social media, email, and outreach.
• Manages program registrations, scheduling, and delivery.
• Develops and monitors program and marketing budgets.
• Evaluates program effectiveness through participation data and feedback.
• Collaborates with other YMCA branches to strengthen marketing & programming.
• Assists with fundraising initiatives and special events.
• Supervises staff and fosters a positive, mission-driven culture.

Gothenburg is located in Dawson County in central Nebraska, just off I-80, with a population of around 3,500. Salary:
