The Arc of Buffalo County Location:
Kearney, NE (some local travel for events)
Schedule:
Part-time, ~20 hrs/week, flexible days/hours (some evenings/weekends for events) Reports to : Board of Directors About us: The Arc of Buffalo County advocates for and supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in our community.
Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator helps plan and run community events, supports fundraising efforts, and provides day-to-day oversight of office staff and operations. This is a flexible, part-time role well suited to someone organized, personable, and comfortable juggling several projects at once. Key responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate agency events (logistics, vendors, volunteers, timelines)
  • Support fundraising activities: donor communication, event-based fundraising, sponsor outreach, and tracking
  • Provide light supervision/oversight of office staff and day-to-day office coordination
  • Serve as a point of contact for community members, families, and partner organizations
  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and basic administrative support
  • Represent the organization at community events and partner meetings as needed Qualifications
  • Experience in event planning, fundraising, office coordination, or nonprofit program work
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable with light supervisory responsibilities
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn about intellectual/developmental disability services (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with basic office/scheduling tools (Google Workspace, email, social media a plus) Compensation $18-$21/hr, based on experience.
