The STEM-MoBILE Program Support Specialist supports the coordination, growth, and sustainability of the STEM-MoBILE, a mobile STEM outreach initiative that delivers hands-on biofabrication outreach programming to schools and community partners. The STEM-MoBILE is a program co-located with the Biotechnology Innovation Center (BIC) of UNH Manchester. Reporting to the STEM-MoBILE Project Coordinator, the Program Support Specialist plays a central role in day-to-day operations, partner communication, program expansion and sustainability, and leadership of the STEM-MoBILE Academy. This position ensures smooth program delivery while helping strengthen long-term sustainability and impact. Duties/Responsibilities Program Operations & Administration (33%) Coordinate scheduling and logistics for STEM-MoBILE visits and events Serve as primary point of contact for schools, community organizations, and partners Manage communication, confirmation, and follow-up for outreach programming Support student worker, student, and volunteer coordination, scheduling, and on-site preparation Assist with event preparation, materials organization, and deployment Program Sustainability & Development Support (34%) Work with the Project Coordinator to identify and research potential funding opportunities, grants, and sponsorships Assist in preparing grant materials and supporting documentation under the direction of the Project Coordinator Cultivate and maintain relationships with community and institutional partners, including potential corporate sponsors Support data collection and impact reporting to demonstrate program effectiveness Contribute to strategic planning efforts that support long-term program growth Leadership of the STEM-MoBILE Academy (33%) Lead planning, coordination, and implementation of the STEM-MoBILE Academy Develop schedules, curriculum support logistics, and school communications Serve as primary operational lead during Academy programming Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to evaluate and refine the Academy model
Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in STEM, education, nonprofit management, or related field Experience coordinating events, programs, or outreach initiatives Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Comfort working with schools, community partners, and student employees Experience in STEM education or outreach
