Job Title:

Principal Program Manager Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Principal Program Manager for an immediate hire in the Aerospace & Defense industry.

Join a world-class team leading next-generation aerospace and defense programs with a focus on new product development, production, and customer-facing program leadership.

PAY:

46.00-56.00

HOURS:

8:30AM-4:00pm 9/80 schedule

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday; approximately 40 hours/week - In office 3 days a week minimum.

This is anticipated to be a long-term contract position

The Principal Program Manager is responsible for leading one or multiple aerospace and defense programs throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept through production and in-service support. This role serves as the primary customer interface while managing program scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall execution. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, contracts, and program planning to deliver high-performance embedded computing and processing solutions for aerospace and defense customers.

Primary responsibilities include:

Develop and execute program plans, schedules, and cost estimates.

Manage programs to scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Lead risk and opportunity management activities.

Coordinate customer proposals, RFP responses, schedules, estimates, and compliance documentation.

Prepare Statements of Work (SOW) and oversee subcontract management.

Present weekly and monthly program status, KPIs, and critical path updates to leadership.

Serve as the primary customer point of contact throughout program execution.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Business Development to ensure successful program delivery.

Manage customer expectations while maintaining strong communication and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for

Principal Program Manager:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Minimum of 6 years of progressive project/program management experience supporting defense hardware systems.

Experience with Government contracting practices, Earned Value Management (EVMS), and standard program reporting metrics.

Experience leading technical product development programs.

Aerospace & Defense or SATCOM industry experience preferred.

Must have experience with Government Contracts - Hardware Project Management Must have experience with IFAR

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and customer communication skills.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a multi-site matrix organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Development and/or Production Program Management experience.

PMP Certification.

Experience using Confluence and SharePoint.

Experience managing Military and Commercial Programs.

Contract and Subcontract Management experience.

Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and Export Regulations.

Previous external customer support/interface experience.

Additional Requirements for

Principal Program Manager:

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have reliable transportation.
