Food Services Coordiator

We are hiring for both our existing Dayton, NJ (South Brunswick township) as well as newly opening (in July) Hamilton, NJ locations. We are currently looking for a Food Services Coordinator for our Hamilton Location who will be responsible for cooking, food preparation and serving food to our participants. Understanding every individual's unique dietary needs, food allergies, preference etc. is an important part of this job. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience with working in cafeterias, food programs, restaurant etc., being a team player and being health conscious with meal planning and cooking. A good understanding of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) rules and regulations and requirements is a definite plus. Outside of food preparations and meal times, you will be expected to help out with Day Program operations. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain the program's routines and structures to provide a safe, healthy, pleasant, professional environment for each individual.
• Ensure safety by providing the level of supervision necessary for each individual as indicated in the Program Description, the individuals' ISPs, etc.
• Provide training, supports, and assistance for each individual to enable her/him to complete daily routines in a safe, healthy, productive and dignified manner. This usually includes social, vocational, and recreational skills, hygiene, toileting, etc.
• Encourage independence by providing both the opportunity and the appropriate levels of skill training for the individuals in categories such as community activities, vocational settings, volunteer work, social skills, etc.
• Assist with serving/preparing lunch and snacks. When needed, uses scales, measuring cups, etc. to ensure correct amounts of foods. Provide the appropriate amount of training, supports, etc. Ensure that meal and snack times are safe, healthy, and pleasant.
• Maintain program inventories as assigned.
