Job Description:
ACT1 provides program management support services to Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) programs at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst to assist in developing, fielding, and sustaining current and next generation aircraft launch and recovery systems. This position provides software management support for the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) program.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Prime Contractor's development, test, and release of AAG software Ensure operational requirements are properly captured in software build plans Lead progress reviews of software program milestones, resource allocation, and execution Identify software issues and provide leadership in developing solutions Assist the AAG program team in developing contract requirements and evaluating proposals Draft acquisition program documents, plans and support major milestone decision reviews Manage recurring and ad hoc program reporting requirements Provide support for the preparation, coordination, execution, and evaluation of program management reviews Requirements DoD Secret Clearance Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering 10 years of experience in software development with at least five years in military systems Experience leading all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle Expertise in software development principles, concepts, theory, and practices including applying Agile/Scrum processes Experience with release/project tracking tools, configuration-controlled software delivery, formal configuration management, and traceable releases across multiple system configurations Experience applying EVM metrics to track contract cost, schedule, and technical health performance Proficiency with the DoD 5000 series lifecycle framework Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Possess senior level Program Management skills relating to task, schedule and people Be able to effectively operate with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) policies and processes, with an understanding of how to effectively work within the constraints of NAVAIR financial, staffing, and contracting systems Benefits Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance ACT1 Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Company Paid Life and AD&D Insurance Company Paid Short-Term Disability Voluntary Long-Term Disability Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Health Savings Account (HSA) 401K with employer match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Parental Leave Military Leave Education, Training & Professional Development Voluntary Accidental Injury/Critical Illness/Hospital Care Voluntary Pet Insurance, Legal Resources, and Identity Protection Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
