Job Description

Rider University invites applications for the EOP Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Director, Educational Opportunity Program, this individual will perform a variety of tasks aimed at assisting EOP staff with effective recruitment, programming, planning, budget monitoring and department assessment.
Responsibilities include:
Hire, train and supervise EOP student workers for the academic year. Collaborate closely with the Associate Director and Director to fulfill state and university reporting requirements. Manage/oversee the grant and operating budget, ensuring tracking and accuracy in the expenditure of funds. Recruit potential EOP scholars via high school visits, college fairs, and Rider open houses. Coordinate all aspects of event planning. Serve as the Rider EOP liaison and board member for the Educational Opportunity Fund Professional Association of New Jersey (EOFPANJ). Perform additional duties related to EOP operations as assigned. This is a grant-funded position. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills. Excellent communication and written skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency skill level with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required. Experience working with EOF or opportunity program students within these programs. Knowledge of University operations and experience in higher education administration is helpful. A working knowledge of EOF regulations and/or policies. Experience with budgets and assessment.
