  • Not Applicable Faculty is eligible for Tenure Track? Funding Source Functions and Responsibilities Job Summary Under the supervision of the Chairperson of Business or designee, the coordinator
  • First Year Experience 097 has administrative responsibilities to develop, implement, and assess programs and initiatives that support the successful transition, retention, and engagement of first-year students. This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000
  • $55,000, along with a comprehensive college benefits package.

Supervisory Role Oral and written instructions are received from Chairperson of Business or designee. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Design, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the First-Year Experience program, including orientation, student success workshops, learning communities, and first-year seminars. 2. Collaborate with faculty to integrate FYE learning outcomes into curriculum and co-curricular activities. 3. Serve as a resource and advocate for first-year students, providing individual guidance and referrals to campus resources. 4. Monitor student participation, engagement, and progress, intervening as appropriate to support student success 5. Represent the FYE program on campus committees and in external professional organizations 6. Prepare reports and recommend improvements to strengthen FYE. 7. Participate in department and/or student led initiatives. Assist in the assessment of the efficiency and satisfaction of these initiatives. 8. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of staff, and client records. 9. Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate FYE initiatives, student outcomes, and program effectiveness 10. Additional Requirements Minimum Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Master's degree. 2. Experience in program coordination, preferably in an academic environment of higher education. 3. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of academic programs offered in the Business Division. 5. Demonstrated knowledge in evaluation and assessment of offerings. 6. Working knowledge of computer software applications, preferably Microsoft Office. 7. Demonstrated ability to work independently, under pressure, to prioritize assignments and to exercise judgement at all times. 8. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 9. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Education Requirements Master's Degree Licenses and Certifications (including e.g., CPR, first aid, driver's license, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities 1. Master's degree in related area. 2. Two or more years' experience in working directly with students and faculty, preferably in higher education at the community college level.
