The Deputy Bureau Chief, Program Integrity will: Provide senior leadership and operational oversight for Program Integrity activities impacted by H.R. 1 implementation; Ensure program integrity requirements related to eligibility and payments are implemented consistently and in compliance with federal and state requirements; Safeguard Medicaid resources, support oversight activities, and maintain accountability as eligibility processes change; Supports readiness for increased integrity risks associated with H.R. 1 implementation. How does it get done? The Deputy Bureau Chief, Program Integrity is responsible for: Overseeing planning, coordination, and execution of program integrity activities affected by H.R. 1; Ensuring integrity policies, procedures, and controls align with federal requirements and operational needs; Supervising managers and staff; Coordinating across eligibility, payments, policy, and systems teams, monitoring integrity performance, and addressing risks or compliance issues; Ensuring program integrity activities support consistent statewide oversight and protecting Medicaid resources. Who are the customers? Internal stakeholders across Health Care Authority (HCA) and Medical Assistance Division (MAD), including program integrity staff, eligibility and payments teams, policy and systems partners, and leadership involved in oversight activities. Ideal Candidate Internal stakeholders across Health Care Authority (HCA) and Medical Assistance Division (MAD), including program integrity staff, eligibility and payments teams, policy and systems partners, and leadership involved in oversight activities. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must obtain a Defensive driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting.
