About New Mexico Military Institute:

The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, co- educational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited, preparing students for higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8. The IPA delivers a distinctive curriculum that emphasizes immersive, intensive, and hands-on learning in a structured environment.

Position:

Under the Supervision of the Deputy Commandant for Operations (DCO), the Cadet Accountability/Tour Squad Officer (TSO) is responsible for supervising the cadet accountability program. This is a non-exempt, 9.5-month, part-time position, not to exceed 29 hours per week, at $17.50 per hour. The job description is available upon request.

Tasks:
Essential Skills:
  • Supervises Cadet Accountability Program - Primary
  • Familiarity with military drills and ceremonies and the role of the TSO is to supervise cadets who have been ability to operate comfortably in front of large groups of assigned marching tours for various disciplinary cadets are essential. violations in accordance with NMMI's Blue Book

Qualifications:
Required:
    High School Diploma Preferred:
    • Associate's degree.
    • Skill in monitoring security systems.
    • Military experience and/or supervisory experience with young adults ages 13-23.
