Overview Seeking a Part time (20 Hrs./Week) Food Pantry Coordinator to join our Gloversville Service Center.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provides support to the Service Center Manager; Perform tasks associated with daily operation of the office, food pantry and other emergency food social service programs. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the operations of the Emergency Food Pantry and any other food distribution program. Tasks include but are not limited to: Assist with volunteer coordination Assist with ordering food from the Food Bank and other vendors. Pickup, unload, stock and inventory. Assist with client intake as needed: Greet guests and route people to the correct program Assist in the operation of seasonal programs including Long Point Camp recruitment, Holiday food, Angel Tree Assist in the
Red Kettle Campaign:
Recruit and schedule volunteer bell ringers, set up and collection of kettles, relieving volunteers and ring as needed Manage the cleaning/upkeep of the physical site Other duties as assigned by Service Center Manager and/or Service Extension Director PROGRAM Maintain records of program participants in a confidential and organized manner Assist with ordering, sorting, and stocking of pantry goods Distribute pantry goods to program participants as per Service Center guidelines

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 1-year related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and able to multi-task
- Proficiency with computer office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Database, internet, etc.)
- Valid Driver's License that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements
