Full-Time Description:
The Coordinator for Pipeline Programs reports to the Director for Pipeline programs and supports the planning, implementation, and daily operations of the School of Medicine's pipeline programs for middle school, high school, and college students. The coordinator works closely with internal departments, Northwell Health partners, schools, and community organizations to ensure smooth execution of educational programming aligned with the school's mission and diversity goals. Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Coordinates the day-to-day operations of pipeline programs and related activities for middle school, high school, and college students; Assists with the implementation of program activities, including scheduling, space coordination, participant communications, and materials preparation; Maintains accurate program records and tracking tools, including participant rosters, attendance, evaluations, and outcome data; Prepares and updates program materials, including schedules, slide decks, reports, agendas, evaluations, and website content; Supports data collection and reporting for program assessment, accreditation, and funding requirements; Assists with budget tracking and documentation, including expense monitoring and purchase requests, under the direction of senior leadership; Coordinates logistics for summer and academic-year programming, including onboarding materials for faculty, staff, and volunteers; Serves as a liaison with the Office of Admissions to support tracking of pipeline participants' educational pathways; Supports collaboration with Northwell Health community programs, including meeting coordination and shared documentation; Assists with outreach efforts and relationship maintenance with community-based organizations focused on diversity in medicine; Represents pipeline programs at meetings, events, and information sessions as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Office of the Dean and pipeline leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in program coordination, academic administration, education, or community-based programming. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic data-tracking tools. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism. Willingness and ability to travel to off-site meetings and program locations. Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required to support program activities.
