Job Description

Key Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage a designated group of students throughout the after-school program. Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants. Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities including sports, games, arts and crafts, STEM, literacy, cooking, leadership, and enrichment clubs. Assist students with homework, academic support, and project-based learning activities. Build positive relationships with students and serve as a positive role model. Implement program activities according to the daily schedule and curriculum. Monitor student attendance, transitions, movement, and dismissal procedures. Maintain appropriate classroom and activity-area management. Reinforce program rules, expectations, and positive behavior strategies. Support students with social-emotional development and conflict resolution. Communicate effectively with the Program Director, Assistant Director, Supervisors, and other staff regarding student needs and program concerns. Assist with field trips, special events, workshops, and program-wide activities. Follow all safety, emergency, supervision, and mandated reporting procedures. Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families. Keep activity areas clean, organized, and ready for student use. Complete required staff trainings and participate in staff meetings and professional development. Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred. Experience in an after-school, summer camp, education, recreation, youth development, or community-based program is a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to manage a group of students while maintaining a positive and structured environment. Dependable, punctual, patient, energetic, and team-oriented. Ability to work collaboratively with other youth workers and program leadership. Must be willing to participate in required background checks, fingerprinting, and program-required clearances. Must complete all required trainings within designated timelines. Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
