Job Description

The Peer Specialist provides engagement and support in the community and/or office setting as a member of the PACT team including assisting with risk assessments, brief interventions, care management and follow up support. At the discretion of the program director, may be assigned to train and supervise other staff as deemed appropriate. Expected to provide excellent participant care and compassion in every encounter, aligned with the organization s core values
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 to 4pm. Some weekends and evenings as needed required What s in it for you? Participates in the writing and timely completion of any required documentation in accordance with state/federal regulations and agency and program policies and procedures Your skills and qualifications: Ability to obtain OMH Peer Certification within 90 days of employment Complete OHM Partnering for Safety & CPR training within 90 days of employment Position is designed for individuals with lived experience of mental health recovery, in line with OMH Peer Certification standards Extensive knowledge with PC applications and electronic medical records strongly preferred.
