Overview
RESIDENCY COORDINATOR POSITION
St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine's is located on the north short of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Job Details Residency Coordinator Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the PD to assure GME program meets or exceeds all accreditation requirements Know current Accreditation, Residency Board and SJH sponsoring institutional GME requirements for the training Program Organize and maintain files required for ACGME, or other accreditation bodies, inclusive of all trainee requirements in addition to program requirements Organize, manage and schedule program related activities to include: conferences; electives, vacations, rotations, teaching courses, committee meetings, recruitment, journal clubs, events (orientation, retreats, and graduation) and department meetings Manage trainee applications and screen those appropriate for interview. This includes evaluating applications for completeness Work with the GME Office to bring incoming trainees on staff at their primary training institution including collecting Human Resources, Employee Health, Credentialing and Safety and Security information Process invoices for program related expenses, ex: reimbursement Manage student rotations for specialties
Residency Coordinator Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred Attention to detail; highly organized; strong critical thinker; strong computer skills; strong communication skills (written and verbal); Two years of office experience preferred One year of experience in working with medical student rotations strongly preferred Posted Salary Range USD $30.00 - USD $33.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
