Tue Sep 15 2026 The Part-Time Program Specialist (WCC) / Regional Resource Coordinator will support the coordination and implementation of activities and events for the New York Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Hub, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Working directly with the Division Coordinator and internal staff, this position will help organize the Hub's Community of Practice (COP) initiatives, including virtual and in-person professional development workshops, national webinars, advisory council meetings, and an annual regional conference. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to STEM student success in higher education by supporting initiatives that strengthen faculty development and institutional capacity. Key responsibilities include managing a growing contact list; meeting invites and taking meeting notes; securing resources and materials; arranging event venues; organizing travel; processing stipends and reimbursements; and tracking related expenses. The position will also assist with website development and maintenance, design e-newsletters and social media content, and assist the Division Coordinator in gathering and curating Community College STEM-related content. The incumbent will ensure consistent and effective communication among Principal Investigators, the Division Coordinator, internal project staff, external partners, and participating faculty and staff, helping to foster engagement and collaboration across the Hub's network. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience with digital platforms (including website and social media updates, and e-newsletter design), event coordination in an academic setting, and collaboration with faculty and staff, along with excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, recruitment and/or training, or in the analysis of program operations, marketing or customer services are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

: It is preferred that the successful candidate have experience in higher education, particularly in a community college setting. Experience working in a STEM-related field is a plus. All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and evidence of equity-minded practice.

Additional Information:
WORK SCHEDULE

The position will be 18 hours per week.

POSITION EFFECTIVE

The position will remain open until filled.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY

$34.60/hour. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
