Full-time, approximately 51 weeks/year (4th of July week off)Schedule:
Starting 30 hours/week: Required 11:30-5:30 Monday-Friday (remaining School year), Expanding hours for next school year as needed: Example, 9:30-11:30 Mon, Weds, Fri Position overview: Webster Montessori School is seeking an organized, experienced and enthusiastic educational administrator to serve as our Wrap-around Coordinator beginning by the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The Wrap-around Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Webster Montessori School's Before and After school program and Summer Program under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Extended Learning. This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Extended Learning.Job Description Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Program for Wrap-around and Summer Program ○ Assist with planning extra Afterschool activities ○ Assist with visitors and volunteers ○ Plan and implement daily activities ○ Create special days ■
Ex:
Spirit/theme days, celebrate birthdays, movie day, share and tell days- Supervision of children (included in daily staffing count)
- Daily communication with Families
- Oversee staffing for Wrap-around Program ○ Schedule staff ○ Collaborate with staff for program needs/wants ○ Manage coverage for staff/fill in where needed ○ Assign staff duties as needed
- Oversee OCFS Regulations for Toddler Program.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and implement the daily program schedule and curriculum
- Maintain a safe environment for all children in the program.
- Maintain records such as attendance, behavior, and incident reports
- Supervise, observe, train, evaluate, and mentor all staff, visitors and/or volunteers.
- Maintain a positive working relationship amongst staff, volunteers, and site personnel.
- Maintain positive relations and collaboration with school personnel.
- Maintain equipment and inventory supplies.
- Maintain clean area throughout the day
- Display a positive attitude that is conducive to good public relations.
- Assist in enrollment of program participants and interviewing program staff.
- Communicate and connect on a daily basis with parents/guardians
- Expand job knowledge and skills by demonstrating a willingness to learn.
- Maintain and enforce OCFS regulations for Daycare setting
- Meet all requirements of dress code policy.
- Maintain all required certifications.
- Attend all required meetings and training.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Must be available to work holidays/break weeks where school is closed and Wrap-around is open (Wrap-around is closed for most major holidays)
- Must have background/fingerprint check
- Must be cleared through OCFS and meet Daycare Director requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 1 year experience planning/implementing recreational programs
- A bachelor's degree including, or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field AND 1 year full-time teaching experience in child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program and 1 year experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field of work ○
OR A NYS
Children's Program Administrator Credential and 1 year full-time teaching experience in child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program and 1 year experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field of work ○ OR Associate's degree in Early Childhood or related field with a plan of study leading to: A bachelor's degree or NYS Children's Program Administrator Credential AND 2 years full-time teaching experience in child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program and 2 years experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field of work ○ OR Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or other OCFS recognized credential with a plan of study leading to: A bachelor's degree or NYS Children's Program Administrator Credential AND 2 years full-time teaching experience in child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program and 2 years experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field of work- Experience working with children (Toddler-6th grade)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to supervise children by sight and sound at all times.
- Ability to move quickly to react to safety issues in the setting (i.e. aggressive behavior).
- Ability to move around the gym/outdoors to assist children and supervise children with daily activities, social interaction, physical, and emotional needs.
- Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in all elements (i.e. outside in all weather).
- Ability to assist in bathroom/toileting needs
Compensation:
- Hourly wage: $21/hour
- Tuition remission for full-time employee's children at WMS
