Over-the-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH), founded in 1978, is a not-for-profit community development corporation whose mission is to develop and manage resident- centered affordable housing and build inclusive community and benefit low-income residents. We provide the Property Management, Property Development, Resident Services and Tenant Advocacy that enable the thriving, diverse community we enjoy today. OTRCH traces its roots back to RESTOC (1978) and Over the Rhine Housing Network (1988). Today OTRCH owns over 120 buildings and manages over 750 units of housing in multiple city neighborhoods.Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator is a full-time position, critical to ensuring the success of the formerly homeless residents of Gloria's Place. This leadership position requires supervisory skills and excellent coordination skills to oversee the building operations, coordinate with service providers, and empower residents to achieve positive life changes.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in related field Experience in working with homeless populations Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues Ability to adapt in ever-changing environment Willingness to complete trainings in CPR, First aid, and crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution techniques Strong organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database) Ability to understand and make a commitment to the Mission and Philosophy of OTR Community Housing and theHousing First Model Responsibilities:
Tenant based activities Ensure the safety and security of residents, and staff, first and foremost Assist residents in achieving goals, with a focus on encouraging employment, based on the residents' health and abilities Assist service staff as they work with residents to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) Assist residents in meeting the obligations of tenancy Encourage and support the development of appropriate community building activities Assist service staff in the design and implementation of activities and programming that encourages a reduction in substance use and supports personal growth Cultivate relationships with volunteer groups and other outside providers Advocate on behalf of the residents to secure services and make referrals as necessary Coordinate with service providers on interventions which support housing retention Enforce House Rules, including the community standards of conduct Coordinate and implement new resident orientation process Instill a sense of pride in the facility among residents Coordinate guests and visitors with the front desk staff Manage any incentive programs for resident participation Building Responsibilities Create and maintain a system for building logs and files Conduct daily inspections of grounds Coordinate with staff to ensure building standards are met; coordinate unit inspections and follow-up as needed Act as Liaison to OTRCH Property Management staff Coordinate use of various meeting spaces and outdoor recreation space Ensure work orders are placed and coordinate completion of those work orders with the appropriate OTRCH staff and systems Handle emergencies related to the building and coordinate with GP front desk and property management staff Coordinate preventive maintenance work with property management and maintenance Coordinate with Asset Management staff to schedule sprinkler and security tests and alarms Coordinate and implement a janitorial schedule and activities Ensure that trash and recycling are handled appropriately Order building and janitorial supplies as needed for the project Ensure that laundry facility operates smoothly Coordinate locking schedule for exterior doors Ensure computer systems related to access control and cameras are functional and up to date Maintain a fire department approved evacuation plan for the project Supervision and Coordination Effectively supervise 24/7 front desk staff, resident managers, and on-call personnel Provide orientation and ongoing training to staff Schedule and coordinate front desk staff, resident managers, and on-call personnel to ensure coverage of facility 24 hours, 7 days a week Be on call for any staffing or resident emergencies at the Gloria's Place property Participate in weekly project team meetings Coordinate move ins and move outs with the Director of Resident Services and Property Management staff to maintain full occupancy Coordinate volunteers and volunteer groups Coordinate with Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services project staff on a daily basis Coordinate with NeighborHub Health staff on a regular basis Other Attend both mandatory and voluntary trainings to ensure individual and professional growth Assist in management of neighbor relationsCompensation:
$24.00 - $28.00 commensurate on experience.
