Aerial Fiber Foreman (CDL-A Preferred)

Company Overview Underground Contractors, Inc. (UCI) is seeking an experienced Aerial Fiber Foreman to lead overhead fiber optic construction crews in the Toledo/Northwood, Ohio area . This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring safe and efficient installation of aerial fiber systems, and leading crews working with bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and overhead utility lines .

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise aerial fiber installation and maintenance crews Oversee work on utility poles, strand, and overhead communication lines Plan daily work activities and ensure crews stay on schedule Operate and oversee use of bucket trucks and aerial equipment Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company expectations Train, mentor, and develop crew members Coordinate materials, equipment, and job site logistics Maintain accurate job reporting and communicate with management Ensure safe work zones and compliance with OSHA and PPE requirements

Requirements:

Proven experience in aerial fiber, lineman work, or utility construction Prior leadership or Foreman experience preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage crews in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

CDL-A License with Air Brake Endorsement (Preferred) Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial equipment Strong understanding of telecommunications construction practices Experience reading prints and coordinating job execution
