Job Description

CLASSROOM SUPERVISOR
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Masters in Education or related field. Must possess or be able to obtain Ohio Department of Education and Workforce certificate/licensure for Principal/ Administrative Specialist. Knowledge of Special Education curriculum, rules, regulations and practices based on transdisciplinary programming and a functional curriculum. Leadership ability and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively with school administrators from many different school districts. Experience in supervisory activities. Ability to use computers to perform word processing, access professional email, input information/documentation in an Individualized Education Program software program, research professional information using internet; ability to use/learn curriculum software. Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and a fully insured, personal vehicle for agency use. Has demonstrated continuous exemplary job performance. Must have a record of reliable work attendance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, observe and evaluate professional and support staff. Provide curricular guidance and assistance. Responsible for ensuring I.E.P compliance and implementation of behavior support protocol. Coordinate service delivery in accordance with ODE and agency requirements. Chair IEP reviews and conferences and other pertinent meetings. Set agendas and conduct staff meetings, participating and contributing as needed. Provide substitute coverage as warranted. Supervise and monitor all areas of the building/program including loading and unloading of buses as needed on a daily basis. Consult with and assist staff in assessments, progress reports to parents, lesson plans, food and supply requisitions, field trips, letters, etc. Assist with community outreach efforts and information/referral for children with unmet basic needs.

Flexible. 10 month position
SALARY:
Annual Management Contract
