Job Description

Staff Development Coordinator Pay & Schedule Availability:
Full time 40 hours per week $19.50 hourly

Staff Development Coordinator Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED required Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Minimum two years supervisory experience Have extensive knowledge in State and Federal rules governing the training requirements for employees working in a waiver, or intermediate care facility setting, with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Staff Development Coordinator Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable of facility policies, current federal and state regulations and be able to interpret to personnel, residents, families, and governmental agencies. Plan, develop, direct, coordinate and evaluate educational and on-the-job training programs. Develop and implement a quality assurance for in-service training Develop, direct, and schedule refresher training, as necessary, for assigned staff and licensed professional personnel. Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of orientation programs that orient newly hired personnel to their position, the facility's policies and procedures, resident rights, etc. Assure that all personnel attend and participate in all required facility in-service training programs (Fire, Disaster, CPR, First Aid, Abuse & Neglect, etc.) Conduct regular or special in-service training sessions for staff to ensure they remain current on new procedures, changes in policy, etc. Assure that individual employee training records are maintained and filed in the employee's training file. Become a Red Cross CPR and First Aid instructor Post notices of in-service training classes in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interactions with co-workers, residents, families, visitors, and governmental officials.
Pay:
$19.50 per hour
