Job Description
This position will be a member of the clinical services team at the Catalyst Behavioral Services Community House location. Program Director will provide services to a Substance Abuse, Mental Health Residential Program. Position Summary Coordinates implementation of consumer based services in assigned program. Essential Functions
- Provides supervisory assistance to the Executive Vice President.
- Supervises subordinate staff in line of accountability.
- Arranges for substitute coverage, as needed. Provides counseling backup services in times of staff shortages.
- Acts as a resource to counselors in treatment planning.
- Coordinates and oversees the Administrative Manager.
- Advocates with consumer for individual needs and desires, encourage staff involvement in the planning process.
- Ensures that counselors maintain client records according to agency policy and procedure.
- Conducts performance evaluations in accordance with agency procedures. Addresses and follows up on any issues on a timely basis.
- Addresses job performance issues in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
- Informs Clinical Director of any pertinent and significant events regarding program, consumers or staff.
- Portrays a positive image of the agency in appearance, presentation, and by promoting the philosophies of the agency.
- Ensures program compliance with internal and external requirements and expectations.
- Maintains certifying credentials, including attendance at continuing education programs appropriate to population being served.
- Responsible for clinical case consultation.
- Responsible for supervising clinical staff and providing "under supervision" for new employees seeking to become credentialed.
- Education and awareness on core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders to be addressed in training activities.
- All other duties assigned. Minimum Education/Experience
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), LPC, LCSW or LMFT.
- Prefer three years experience in related field, one of which was in supervisory capacity.
