Join a dedicated team supporting the Oklahoma Health Care Authority's Legal Services division as a Program Specialist II (Legal Analyst). In this vital role, you will provide essential legal research, drafting, and administrative support to ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare laws. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful public service initiatives within a collaborative and supportive environment, helping to shape policies that impact healthcare access for countless individuals.Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Eligible to sit for a state bar exam. Strong legal research and drafting skills. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate effectively. Experience with healthcare law, administrative law, or public policy is preferred. Familiarity with legal technology and AI-assisted research tools is a plus. Physical ability to remain seated for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds. No specific degree requirements; relevant experience and skills are essential.Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct legal research on state and federal laws related to Medicaid and healthcare programs under supervision. Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including memoranda, policies, and waiver language. Support document review and discovery processes for legal proceedings. Analyze proposed legislation and summarize potential impacts to the agency. Prepare materials for administrative hearings and legal proceedings, including organizing case files and drafting preliminary documents. Participate in meetings with stakeholders to support policy and legal initiatives. Review privacy policies, training materials, and forms for compliance, including HIPAA-related documents. Summarize reports and briefing materials for attorneys and leadership. Perform additional duties to support the Legal Services team as needed. Why Work forGalt:
