Job Description

Evening and Weekend Program Support - Aquatics (Seasonal) Description The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking candidates for Program Support (Aquatics) to support aquatic programs and customer service operations at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center . Ideal candidates will have a background in aquatics and feel comfortable assisting with program administration. THPRD also offers an additional 5% bilingual pay incentive to staff who regularly utilize their bilingual or multilingual skills at work.
Job Opening Program Support Pay Rate Range:
$27.00 - $30.44 hourly The hiring range is based on experience and internal equity. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate activities to meet program objectives, including developing work plans and schedules. Develop and implement program curriculum and provide direction to part-time staff. Coordinate center activities with other District programs and external agencies, serving as a liaison to program committees, private industry, and the community. Foster a program atmosphere that promotes inclusion and ensures a positive experience for participants. Qualifications & Requirements Candidates should have a combination of experience and training equivalent to two years in an aquatic specialty area and completion of twelfth grade, plus additional specialized training equivalent to two years of college. Staff should be prepared to work indoors and outdoors in varying environments. Scheduling The schedule for this position is flexible but must include Thursday through Monday evenings to support aquatic programming and facility supervision. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of six months.
