Job Description

A Program Specialist is responsible for the following: Supervise and support Program Managers and Direct Support Professionals Make sure individuals receive the care and services outlined in their plans (ISP) Monitor progress and review documentation for accuracy Lead and participate in care plan meetings Help individuals achieve their goals and stay active in the community Communicate with team members, families, and support coordinators Ensure services meet state and company standards
Community Participation Support:
Supervises and directs CPS Direct Support Professional. Supervises Direct Support Professionals to help facilitate an individual's inclusion in the community through experiences and activities. Create activity plans for the individuals, making sure they participate in the activities they enjoy.
Working Conditions:
Work takes place in the administrative office, community, and residential homes as needed Responsible for covering shifts as necessary and completing other assigned tasks Required ODP/Departmental training Experience or ability to function as an HRST Rater and access
HCSIS & EIM
systems A Program Specialist must have one of the following: A master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1-year work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability. An associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
Program Specialist qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older. Valid driver's license. First Aid and CPR certification, NADD Dual diagnosis certification. Trainings on areas of intellectual disability, principles of integration, rights and program planning and implementation, and fire safety protocol and procedures.

From $47,840.00 per year
