JOB SUMMARY
Family Service & Children's Aid Society employs the position of Program Director to train, supervise, and monitor the employees responsible to successfully deliver individual, relationship and family therapy. This position is also expected to participate in overall Agency management and represent the Program and Agency in various community boards and organizations as appropriate. This position is also responsible for maintaining an active caseload that provides individual, family, and relationship therapy and casework services to assist individuals in attaining a more satisfactory social, economic, emotional, or physical adjustment to their current situation. The Program Director is expected to utilize their education, training, judgment, and discretion to direct the therapeutic process when providing services to individuals and families. This position reports directly to the Clinical Director of Family Service & Children's Aid Society with formal individual supervision being held on a weekly basis and informal supervision being available on an ongoing basis and is located at Family Service & Children's Aid Society's main office in Oil City. The work schedule varies and may include evening and weekend hours based on individual needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid PA driver's license to use on the job when necessary; and proof of own vehicle insurance if personal vehicle is used for business purposes. Act 151, 73, and 34 clearances. Ability and willingness to respect and practice confidentiality. Flexibility to work irregular hours. Willingness to attend out-of-town conferences, training workshops, and meetings as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to facilitate individual, relationship, and family therapy sessions independently, utilizing own discretion and judgment. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Ability to work well within stated time limits or deadlines. Ability and personality characteristics to collaborate effectively with people from all social, economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds and age groups. Ability to work independently and effectively without direct supervision. Strong commitment to implement and promote the philosophy, goals, objectives, and policies of the Agency. Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form. Ability to independently organize workload around individual and program priorities. Ability to accept and exercise authority appropriately and make rational informed decisions. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to respect and practice confidentiality.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING 1.
Education/Training Requirements A master's degree in a mental health field and possess an active license as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in Pennsylvania. 2. Work Experience Five years of related experience working with individuals and families; AND 3 years supervisory experience; AND the above education requirements. Additional Details
