Project Based $ Paid Full Time Part Time Description Purdue Extension - Orange County is seeking a responsible, organized, self-motivated college student for part time summer internship. The intern will work with extension educators to develop, market, and conduct hands-on educational programs in the areas of 4-H Youth Development, Health and Human Sciences, and Agriculture and Natural Resources. The position responsibilites include clerical duties and programming assistance with a focus of planning and executing the county fair. The primary hours will fall between 8a-4p Monday-Friday but will vary from week to week. Some evenings and weekends will be required during the county fair weeks of June 19-26th. Responsibilities General customer service including answering phones and talking to clientele in person, by phone, or email. Develop and conduct educational youth programs for day camps and county fair. Assist with 4-H programs, fair preparation and maintaining a smooth flow of operations during fair. Develop social media content and printed materials used for marketing and conducting programs. Clerical duties including data entry, filing, and finalizing fair entries and awards. Qualifications Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well with both adult and youth clientele Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Must be able to lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs
Additional Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of various computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, proper phone etiquette, attention to detail.
