POSITION SPECIFICS
​ Penn State Schuylkill is seeking applicants for the position of Academic Clinical Program Specialist. This position is essential for the program as the specialist serves as the only Penn State Schuylkill radiological sciences clinical advisor at the Hershey Medical Center. The Hershey Medical Center is the largest of the radiologic program clinical sites, and it provides the widest range of educational opportunities a large number of students are sent to this site, on average 20-25 students are assigned to the site each semester, with 12-16 on-site each day. The Penn State Schuylkill Radiological Sciences program is the only radiology program assigned to the hospital so our students hold a strong presence in the diagnostic department of Hershey Medical Center and are considered a valuable asset to the department. This position represents Penn State Schuylkill at the medical center, works to teach the students the hands-on components of the clinical courses, and facilitates the provision of patient care by Penn State Schuylkill students as well as serving as a liaison to the staff at the Hershey Medical Center. This individual also works closely with the faculty of the Radiological Sciences program to provide data and input to the assessment and accreditation processes.
Specific responsibilities will include:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
If filled as Academic Program Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

None If filled as Academic Program Specialist - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal ground Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal ground Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $81,500.00.
