Lexington, KY Position Summary The Board Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the governance, engagement, and effectiveness of the organization's Board of Directors while coordinating key fundraising and donor relations activities. This position ensures smooth coordination of board and committee operations, communications, fundraising events, and donor engagement that advance the mission and strategic priorities of the organization. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the Board and donors, fostering strong relationships and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Board & Committee Support Coordinate logistics for all Board and committee meetings, including scheduling, meeting notices, agendas, and materials. Record, prepare, and distribute accurate and timely meeting minutes. Maintain up-to-date records of Board and committee membership, terms, attendance, and participation. Ensure compliance with organizational bylaws and governance policies. Support board recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes. Communication & Engagement Serve as the main point of contact for Board and committee communications. Prepare and distribute Board newsletters, updates, and meeting follow-ups. Assist in planning and executing annual Board retreats, trainings, and recognition events. Facilitate consistent communication between staff and Board members to support engagement and alignment. Fundraising & Donor Relations Coordinate all logistics and planning for the organization's annual fundraising event , including vendor management, sponsorship outreach, guest communications, and event promotion. Work closely with the Board Members to achieve fundraising goals and maintain timelines. Serve as a liaison to donors , ensuring timely acknowledgments, personalized stewardship, and ongoing relationship-building. Maintain accurate donor records and assist with donor database management. Support additional fundraising campaigns, appeals, and donor engagement activities as needed. Program Coordination Support implementation of Board-led initiatives, special projects, and strategic plan objectives. Track progress of Board and committee goals and provide regular reports to leadership. Coordinate volunteer or donor engagement events as needed. Administrative & Operational Support Manage and organize Board and donor documents and archives (digital and hard copy). Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Assist with annual evaluations of Board performance and self-assessment tools. Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director or Board Chair as requested. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit administration, governance support, or development/fundraising preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience coordinating events and managing multiple deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and donor-centered communication style. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Familiarity with donor management or CRM software - Salesforce, a plus. Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Work Environment & Schedule Part Time, Work from Home. Standard part time office schedule with occasional evening or weekend meetings for Board or fundraising events. May include limited travel for retreats, conferences, or community events. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $32,500 for 25 hours a week.Pay:
