Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RSVP Caregivers Program Coordinator to lead and manage our caregiver initiatives, ensuring the delivery of exceptional support and services to those in need. This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate volunteer efforts, oversee caregiver programing, and foster community engagement. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and passionate about volunteerism and working with seniors . The primary functions of this position are to recruit, screen, and place senior volunteers at volunteer sites or with signature program assignments serving clients and public and nonprofit organizations in a specified region of New Hampshire. This position oversees Caregivers, a volunteer driver and support program for homebound seniors. Caregivers currently uses senior volunteers to provide rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping delivery to seniors at no cost. The Caregivers program is an essential daily assignment for the role. This position requires the RSVP Caregivers Program Coordinator to work as part of a team to implement daily operations of the program, expansion of services and adherence to Federal requirements. Overseeing day to day enrollment of volunteers, tracking of volunteer hours, collecting data are central to this role and require a driven, independent and highly organized person Responsibilities Recruit, screen, and place new volunteers in the assigned area. Seek, develop, and expand current services by collaborating with new community sources, make presentations to groups, deliver and place marketing materials throughout the assigned region, develop helpful contacts, engage in community relations activities that result in spreading the name of the program and the agency and increasing volunteer numbers and service assignments. Coordinate a caseload of existing volunteers, assignments, and sites. Take the lead in volunteer enrollment, collection of hours and tracking grant requirements for service area. Comply with RSVP/Caregiver's current and evolving federal requirements, as directed. Follow programmatic and agency rules and policies. Use Volunteer Reporter, Excel, Word, Outlook, Ride Scheduler and other technology proficiently in the daily operation of the position. Keep current data and communicate sufficiently, both internally and with community partners. Seek ways to increase efficiencies through technology and other internal systems. Develop new volunteer sites. Operate or assist in the operation of RSVP's signature programs - Caregivers and a variety of non-site-based assignments. Focus on specific program, service, or geographic area as requested by Director of Volunteer Programs. Adjust to and assist with changes in procedures or goals to meet federal requirements. Assist with the planning of program events and seek ways to economically and regularly provide quality volunteer recognition. Identify and report problems to the Executive Director and offer constructive suggestions and/or solutions. Communicate with the Executive Director frequently about work related issues and respond in a timely manner to questions and requests. Perform other tasks as requested. Requirements Associates Degree or similar working experience Experience in non-profits, older adult services, human services or related field strongly preferred Strong interpersonal skills with a team orientation and ability to work both independently and interdependently to achieve desired goals Creative and innovative thinker, willing to challenge, stretch, and be a change agent in the evolution of the company Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency required to meet deadlines and work productively in a team environment Creative problem solver, flexible, and able to handle ambiguity and process new ideas Part time 30/hours - Full time an option Grant funded role
