Who We Are Disruptors Media is an AI-powered marketing agency based in North Salt Lake, Utah. We serve as fractional CMO and Chief AI Officer for businesses across multiple industries, specializing in AI automation, lead generation, content creation, and marketing systems that actually drive revenue.

The Role We're looking for a Client Strategist who will own the client relationship from onboarding through renewal and expansion. This is not a passive relationship management role where you check in once a month and forward support tickets. This is a strategic position where you become the most valuable person on your client's vendor list. You'll be the person our clients trust to understand their business, anticipate their needs, solve their problems, and consistently deliver results that make them look brilliant to their leadership. You'll run weekly strategy calls, lead onboarding for new clients, identify growth opportunities, and be the connective tissue between our clients and every internal team at Disruptors Media. The right person for this role isn't just organized and friendly. They're strategic thinkers who can see around corners, communicate with authority at every stakeholder level, and take genuine pride in making other people successful. What You'll Do Own the Client Relationship Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building deep, trusted advisor relationships Run weekly strategy calls that clients actually look forward to
  • not status updates, but conversations that move their business forward Lead quarterly business reviews that demonstrate ROI, surface risks, and map the path to bigger outcomes Become an expert in each client's business: their industry, their competitors, their goals, and the internal dynamics that drive their decisions Drive Client Onboarding and Adoption Lead onboarding calls that set the tone for the entire partnership•establishing success criteria, building the 90-day plan, and creating mutual accountability Ensure clients achieve first value within the first 30 days and full adoption within 90 days Proactively identify and remove blockers that slow down implementation or adoption Train clients on our services, tools, and deliverables so they understand and can articulate the value they're receiving Retain and Expand Accounts Monitor client health through engagement signals, deliverable quality, communication patterns, and satisfaction indicators Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding evolving client needs and matching them to our service offerings Lead renewal conversations with confidence, backed by data-driven ROI analysis and clear forward-looking strategy When a client is at risk, take ownership of the recovery: diagnose the problem, build the plan, execute the save Communicate Proactively and Strategically Deliver proactive updates, insights, and recommendations before the client has to ask Frame every conversation•good news, bad news, pricing, and recommendations•with intention and strategic clarity Send flawless follow-up recaps within two hours of every client meeting with clear action items, owners, and deadlines Coordinate internally across our content, automation, video, and engagement teams to ensure seamless delivery Contribute to Agency Growth Turn happy clients into advocates who generate referrals, testimonials, and case studies Provide feedback from the field that improves our services, processes, and client experience Help build and refine the playbooks, templates, and systems that scale our client success operations Who You Are The Non-Negotiables You live in or are willing to relocate to the greater Salt Lake area.
This is an in-person role at our North Salt Lake office. No exceptions. You have 2+ years of experience in account management, customer success, client services, sales, or a similar client-facing role. You are an exceptional communicator
  • in writing, on video calls, and in person. You can talk to a marketing coordinator and a CEO in the same afternoon and adjust your approach seamlessly. You are organized to the point of obsession. Multiple accounts, multiple timelines, multiple stakeholders
  • nothing falls through your cracks.
You take ownership. When something goes wrong, you don't point fingers. You fix it, learn from it, and make sure it doesn't happen again. You are genuinely curious about how businesses work. You ask questions because you want to understand, not just because it's on a script. What Sets You Apart Experience in a marketing agency, SaaS company, or professional services environment Familiarity with AI tools, marketing automation platforms, or CRM systems like GoHighLevel, HubSpot, or Salesforce A track record of retaining and expanding client accounts
  • not just maintaining them Comfort with data: you can pull usage metrics, build a simple ROI analysis, and present numbers in a way that drives decisions Experience leading business reviews, onboarding calls, or strategic planning sessions with clients You've read a book on customer success, negotiation, or consultative selling in the last year because you actually wanted to, not because someone told you to What a Typical Week Looks Like We don't want you guessing what this job actually feels like day to day.
Here's a realistic snapshot of a typical week as our Client Strategist. Monday
  • Weekly team meeting/capacitation. Review portfolio health and prep for the week. Internal team sync to align on priorities and client deliverables. 2-3 client strategy calls. Send follow-up recaps with action items within two hours of each call. Tuesday
  • Prep for client calls: pull data, draft agendas, identify insights. Send pre-call agendas to clients. 2-3 client strategy calls. Coordinate with content and automation teams on deliverable status. Wednesday
  • Deep work: build QBR presentations, onboarding plans, or ROI analyses for upcoming conversations. New client onboarding call. Proactive outreach to accounts that haven't had a touchpoint this week. Thursday
  • 2-3 client strategy calls. Follow-up on open action items from earlier in the week. Assign VA's to complete various tasks. Internal debrief on at-risk accounts. Expansion pipeline review with leadership. Friday
  • Portfolio review: update CRM, log health scores, flag risks. Prepare any client materials for next week. Wrap up loose ends. Send proactive weekend updates to any clients with active projects. Plan next week. What We Offer

You avoid difficult conversations. This role requires you to deliver tough news, push back on clients when needed, and hold people accountable
