Job Summary The College of Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Experiential Education Program Specialist (Administrative Specialist Intermediate Healthcare). This role is central to the clinical mission of the College, ensuring our students have access to high-quality practice environments. You will serve as the primary navigator for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) scheduling while managing the lifecycle of our clinical partnerships from initial recruitment and onboarding to ongoing quality evaluation. This position requires a blend of relationship management, complex logistics, and data-driven reporting to maintain the excellence of our experiential curriculum. Responsibilities• Recruit, onboard, and maintain relationships with preceptors and practice sites. Conduct regular site evaluations and maintain consistent communication with site coordinators to ensure adherence to College of Pharmacy quality standards. Serve as the primary lead for APPE scheduling and Secondary Lead for IPPE scheduling. Coordinate student placements at specialized sites, including Cranbrook and Student-Run Free Clinics. Manage the logistics for International Exchange APPE rotations. Utilize the
CORE ELMS
application to draft, review, and revise essential documentation. Generate and analyze reports to support program assessment and accreditation needs. Support broad experiential initiatives, including APPE Readiness Assessments and continuous quality assurance (QA) projects. Required Qualifications• Bachelor of Science in a healthcare-related field, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience supporting a professional education program (e.g., pharmacy, medical, or nursing education). Demonstrated ability to lead complex process improvement projects and business process redesign. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple diverse constituencies to achieve high-level results. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining maximum collaboration in a team environment. Excellent analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to following through on all assignments. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines under pressure. High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to anticipate program needs and exercise excellent judgment in a flexible environment. ) effectively and efficiently. Desired Qualifications• Master's degree or higher in a healthcare-related field, Business Administration, or a relevant professional degree.
