Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students by providing occupational therapy services during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract, full-time position offers a steady 35-hour week supporting a diverse student population in a dynamic educational setting. Enjoy the opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues, develop tailored intervention plans, and help students achieve their fullest potential. In this role, you will join a collaborative environment focused on fostering student growth and empowerment. Your experience as a school-based occupational therapist will be key in addressing students' unique needs and partnering with educational teams.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license at the start date (please provide a current screenshot to confirm) School-based OT experience required, preferably with K-12 settings Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families Eagerness to adapt interventions to individual student needs and educational goals Dedicated to professional growth and supporting positive student outcomesRole Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services to students identified with needs Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support educational programming Document evaluations and progress in accordance with district and professional standards Contribute to IEP meetings and help design student-specific intervention plans Engage with families to communicate progress and offer resources Maintain compliance with Michigan state and district guidelines Enjoy the advantage of a school-year schedule, making a difference with a respected student-focused team. The contract is set for August 17, 2026 through June 11, 2027 (tentative). Two positions are available.
