Job Description

Member Engagement & Training Specialist Reports to: CEO The Member Engagement & Training Specialist leads IABH's member services, policy analysis, conferences, trainings, committee coordination, and continuing education programming. This role ensures strong member communication, engagement, and professional development opportunities aligned with association policy priorities. This position works closely with the COO and VP of Finance in coordination with the CEO and Government Relations & Policy Analyst.   • Serve as primary liaison for member services and inquiries.
  • Manage committees and workgroups (scheduling, materials, minute-taking, follow-up).
  • Develop member engagement strategies to increase retention and participation.
  • Maintain membership database and communication calendar. Policy
  • Collaborate with the advocacy team on the Association legislative agenda.
  • Review and analyze proposed legislation impacting the behavioral health field.
  • Analyze State Agency actions, rules, and regulations to advise membership on benefits and detriments of each. Communications
  • Draft and distribute newsletters, policy updates, minutes, and event communications.
  • Maintain member-facing calendar and website updates.
  • Collaborate with the Public Policy team to disseminate advocacy updates. Training
  • Coordinate training events and schedule.
  • Recruit presenters and speakers for trainings.
  • Ensure CEU credits and compliance for attendees.
  • Work with VP of Finance for trainings revenue. Administrative Coordination
  • Assist COO with calendar coordination related to member events.
  • Coordinate event budgets in partnership with VP of Finance.
  • Support cross-departmental planning and coordination in conjunction with COO.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Executive Team on planning, organization, and execution of Annual Conference. Qualification
  • 5+ years experience in management, training coordination, or member services preferred.
  • Experience with planning conferences or professional events preferred.
  • Experience with CEUs or continuing education processes preferred.
Required Skills Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to travel (up to 40%). Lift up to 50 lbs. Work Environment This is a full-time, remote position with our office located in Springfield, IL. All applicants must be Illinois residents. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
