At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona, we believe one consistent, caring relationship can change the trajectory of a young person's life. As a Mentor2.0 Program Specialist , you'll work directly with high school students and volunteer mentors, helping students stay on track for graduation, build confidence, and create a plan for what comes next. If you enjoy working with teens, leading group sessions, and building meaningful relationships, this is a role where you'll see your impact every day. What You'll Do This is a hands-on role where you'll manage a high school mentoring program from recruitment through ongoing support. Work directly with students Recruit and enroll high school students into the Mentor2.0 program Build strong relationships with students and support their engagement Help students set goals and stay on track academically and personally Lead engaging sessions Plan and facilitate monthly group sessions at a partner high school Deliver curriculum focused on college, career readiness, and life skills Create a positive, engaging environment where students feel supported Support volunteer mentors Guide mentors through the enrollment and onboarding process Provide ongoing coaching, communication, and support Help build strong, consistent mentor-mentee relationships Partner with schools Serve as the main point of contact with school staff and administration Coordinate schedules, logistics, and program delivery Build strong, lasting relationships within the school community Keep the program running strong Track participation, engagement, and outcomes Maintain accurate program records and documentation Identify challenges early and take action to support student success What We're Looking For You don't need to have done this exact job before—but you should be someone who: Connects easily with high school students Is comfortable leading groups and speaking in front of others Builds strong relationships with both youth and adults Is organized and follows through on details Can manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball Is proactive, dependable, and solution-oriented Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, social services, or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience working with youth (high school preferred) Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or classroom-style activities Experience working with volunteers or mentoring programs is a plus Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Schedule & Work Environment Combination of office-based work and time at a local high school (approximately 1 day/week on-site) Occasional evenings and weekends required for events and program activities Hybrid flexibility available after 6 months , with the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week (with approval) Local travel required Compensation & Benefits $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE)
